I didnt mind the subscription price of the previous version; it was well worth the cost and extremely useful, as to the other "crap" out there! What is suppose to be comparable, couldnt even get me out of my driveway!!

This is not the "Drive app", which was discontinued. This app never offered voice car driving instructions. I still have the "Drive app" with voice directions and it works.

I love to hike in the cascades and the motion x maps are outstanding! Great topographic maps with all the trails marked that Ive hiked. A true gem for a map lover!

They completely ruined this product by getting rid of the GPS. I used to rely on this product to get me to multiple locations with the shortest route. Now this is nothing more than a scam without a GPS. I feel like Ive been ripped off for buying the service again.

Love this app--great for strolls or backcountry hikes.

I was duped into thinking this was an improved version of my road map GPS when I purchased this junk. Marketing has done a major disservice to their former customers. In no way does the graphics indicate this app is for hiking and biking ONLY. I want a full refund! What a gip. DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN AUTOMOBILE GPS!!

Great gps hiking or off-roading or back country app. Love the ability to get detailed topo maps stored offline. Very handy to be able to broadcast the progress of your travels to others in your group or back at base or even home. Use this on scout hikes to keep parents updated and as a worst case for emergency help.

Bug: Stated waypoint elevation is actually your current elevation. This app has allowed me to hike Volcán Corazón in Ecuador and Volcán Maderas in Nicaragua without guides (the trails are on the map). Its also great for dropping Points Of Interest in other countries when traveling without cell service. The maps in this app are awesome, it has Google, Apple, and Microsoft, but the MotionX maps are what I use for hiking. They have all the trails Ive ever needed in the US as well, which is amazing. Im going to Nairobi and Tanzania soon and will be using it there as well. Unfortunately the UI is a massive mess. Confusing menus, some very odd methods to get to certain information, for example waypoints can have photos and descriptions attached, but you cant get to that area of editing from clicking on a waypoint on a map, you must go through a different set of Waypoint Menus. There are also buttons in odd places, like when you go to download the offline maps, the download button is hidden at the top, while there is text at the bottom of the page, where youd expect the download button to be, telling you to click the word download at the top of the screen. Crazy. Probably the most capable app Ive ever used with the least usable interface. Thus its a must have, but could be waaay better with a redesigned UI. Love/hate this app. But mostly love (thrilled it exists at all). Just has so much unrealized potential!

Love the app...hate that settings only have option of alway or never use GPS..."always" runs battery down..."never" means you have to go to settings to turn on GPS for this app to use it...NEEDS use GPS when using app option....

There is no doubt this is a good app unless you are like me and need to download and save custom satellite image maps for off the cell net locations. Their Custom Map upgrade doesnt work for those situations and they should be clearer about its capabilities. So after wasting $7 and my time on this I am off to their completion.

Okay, as the app constantly reminds me, every time I open it, they can no longer afford to provide voice guidance. I was prepared to live without that. But it also stopped providing the TEXT guidance that used to scroll across the top!!! All it provides now is a map with the blue arrow, and to follow that, while driving, is almost as difficult as texting while driving. I miss my original MotionX GPS service, that I bragged about, and recommended as the best. Goodbye, beloved old friend.

Im a runner, hiker, and horseback rider and I use this app for all of the above. Not the prettiest interface but it tracks everything I need!

Was great until I needed support. Too bad their support website doesnt allow you to submit your question (submit button is broken), and there is no email address listed. Not a good customer experience.

I love the App for finding places to go, tracks that are hidden and loyal call information. I love have a record of hikes Ive been on round the world. I would like to have the two-menu system combined as one only. Its not intuitive to know which menu to go to in order to open a menu item.

Lots of useful navigation features. Highly recommended.

-Menu is counterintuitive and difficult to operate; needs a good redesign of its entire interface to make it simpler to use -Drains battery very fast; not good for more than 6-8 hours of use; youll need back up battery for your phone if you use it longer - on some occasions it produces some amazingly strange results that dont agree well with overall results (e.g. tends to cut total time thereby increasing average speed) -It can be spotty; it misses some valuable data points and replaces them with ones that dont really correspond to overall/actual data -Map downloads can quickly use up available memory so be careful when you download too much data +When it works, it works great +Its cheap (granted its not a true GPS like Garmin but its only $2.99 so it saves you a lot of money) + Its a very good navigation app that can be very useful. Ive used it for international travel and it works great. + Its benefits outweigh the drawbacks so its a great value for any mobile phone user. If it were only better designed and simplified itd be much much better.

App crashes when you try to open it despite having available memory space.

Great app for tracking hikes.

They went quiet and they give some BS responses to be honest. Map data is very old and doesnt reflect current openstreetmaps data. Its ok if dont care about the newest data. CS says map tiles are updated every several hours. Its at least a month old. At least. Who knows when the recent data pops up. Yes map data cache cleared no saved maps. Its a bit disappointing when you can find other map apps getting the exact map data as openstreetmaps.
