great app, sorry to lose voice

i always thought motionx drive was a fantastic app. i used it more often than the nav system in my car. and i understand the economics of the situation and why the decision had to be made, but i, for one, would have happily continued paying for live voice guidance. sorry it worked out this way for you

My favorite of its type

Great app. Use it to track my walks with my dog.

This App Is Not For Travel Guidence

When My Current Motion X GPS App Quit Working While I Was Traveling, I Was Told There Was No Update For It.....!! Needless To Say I Was Highly Upset Since I Had Purchased A Renewal Not Even A Year Ago.... Very Disappointed In Motion X For Leaving Myself And Other Paying Customers High And Dry With No Option For Reimbursement !!

Best off road GPS

I tried to use multiple GPS devices and the up I saw was the low battery usage! This app allows you not only use one device for everything but if you are concerned about hurting it you can get an old iPhone for $50 and download all off read maps over wifi hence no service charge for expensive and slow map on demand downloads. As to the features? Top notch we used GPX tracks that we loaded and it worked great by showing if we where on track and which direction we were going. The zoom works great and allows immediate orientation while stopped as well as great update as where to turn when zoomed in. Overall this is a great GPS with all topo maps you need, only get an iPhone with at least 16GB and you are off-road ready! Best GPS I have found! Start using it by just using zoom and bottom middle button and get used to other features on the go like distance measure and many many more! Love the App!

Slow downhill slide

Update: Developers used to be extremely responsive to feedback and would quickly resolve issues. This is still a great app, the developers have been MIA for some time. They answer email, but not actively pushing updates or fixes for known bugs. Not really liking the new look. Feels kinda cheap video game like. The spinning world looks way more vivid and is now hugely distracting. Wish there was a way to go back to non fluorescent color scheme. Still a stabile app and typically the go to map app for me. That wont change, but Im not as satisfied with the app. Downgraded from 5 to 4 due to layout and overall look. Functionality still a 5.

Good Walking App For The Worlds Cities

Im an airline crew member and I walk all over every destination. The ability to download maps of the whole city from your hotel WiFi negates the need to get an expensive local cellular data plan.

Still my favorite running app

Ive tried many of these running apps and keep coming back to this one. It doesnt charge me a monthly fee its very accurate and it keeps track of everything I wanted to keep track of. The only addition I would like to see would be a larger memory for the runs 100 seemed to be quite enough I like to keep track of them for a couple of years. If it work interface with some of the other calorie counting apps that would be a good addition. The female voice is the most pleasant of any app I have used. Not robotic. No monthly fee. A huge plus.

Best app for off line maps!

When I am in places where I have cell phone or I need to conserve battery life I use the off-line maps. Love it!

So many places!

Ive downloaded maps and tracks for some of the best MTB trails out there, all over the US And Europe. This app is a life saver!

Solid app

Solid app. It is not completely intuitive, but once you get familiar it is easy to navigate.

BW Forester

Great! Works great via either my Bluetooth GPS, or cellular. Good aerial imagery. I dont understand the complaints about UI. Sure it takes a bit to get use to it, but not long. My only wish is that it would calculate acreage/area when closing a track.

Have used for years

Does what I need Even used it to record a run on a gold mine site in the middle of nowhere Patagonia

Mapping broken

The app seems to be dead on 5s. Doesnt load any maps anymore.

Use to track the trail riding quads

Use for when we ride our quads in the woods. Use the my trails feature and share with my friends. Having my phone mounted on my quad with this app running is awesome . Being able to see and follow the red line makes you feel so much more comfortable knowing what turn is coming or just knowing your not lost. I use the new track feature when riding new trails , so it marks out where we went by miles and time . Then I save that trail and share with my friends . The best for riding hatfield and McCoy trails . Been going for 4 years now and still marking out new trails . We have so many trails marked out already -- no worries about how to get back or where we are .

0 Stars...Doesnt work

0 stars. Dont waste your money. It doesnt even load up. Rumor has it they are going out of business...

Good App

Good all round outdoor app

Best in class for iphone!!

Best in class for iphone!!

Tracks you when youre not using app

App is good enough. However I just realized that the app forces you to permit always on location services in order to use the app. Its been following my every move for the past 4-5 years. Whatever utility it has it is certainly not worth that! Find something else.

Tossed Garmin in Closet

This app is solid. Use hunting, hiking, biking, mountaineering. Have a Garmin too, but dont need it. Only recommendation is get a large battery case, but will last all day. For multi-day trips I wake it up, grab a way point and put it back to sleep. Battery lasts a long time that way.

Worth it

While the UI still needs improvement the functions are an indispensable travel companion. There is no better alternative for now.
